Half-Hour Computer Daybook....(or something like that)
Could a person die of pure joy?
Oh, my. We are loving on this little baby!
Taking time out to hide while he naps and lurk around on my favorite blogs today.
I've been on one big half-hour rabbit trail, let me show you!
Ordered up this book from my library....
Sounds good, right?
In this timely new book, Darina reconnects you with the cooking skills that missed
a generation or two. The book is divided into chapters such as Dairy, Poultry
and Eggs, Bread, and Preserving, and forgotten processes such as smoking
mackerel, curing bacon, and making yogurt and butter are explained in the
simplest terms. The delicious recipes show you how to use your homemade bounty
to its best, and include ideas for using forgotten cuts of meat, baking bread
and cakes, and even eating food from the wild. The Vegetables and Herbs chapter
is stuffed with growing tips to satisfy even those with the smallest garden plot
or window box, and there are plenty of suggestions for using gluts of
vegetables. You'll even discover how to keep a few chickens in your backyard.
With over 700 recipes, this is the definitive modern guide to traditional
cooking skills
Filing this away to purchase next month. We go through a ton of homemade salad dressing here,
and this will be so great to have!

Love this article on growing lettuce....

So cool! A printout on laundry stains and removing them!
(I could live at this blog, I mean, seriously.)

Good links here...
Agreed with all of these....

Just might treat my kids to these today!

The food thing?
It's still huge with me.
I have seen the fruits of what no sugar during pregnancy
produces. I have an amazingly strong and alert little baby.
It has been worth every bit of struggle!
Pretty sure this is not a money-saver, but I know it is going to smell great as I use tea tree oil in my baby wipes and let me tell you, it's an incentive to change those diapers! Hoping it has the same effect on wanting to do my dishes!
...and last but not least, the things I ran out of time for!

Totally need to go back to this site to check out the Etsy shop! And.........she's a Charlotte Mason gal! Love!
toxin free mama, gaps recipes....oh, ya, I'll be back.......(some day!)
Right now, I'm using what remains of that time to download new podcast sources! (new to me, anyway!) Blowing through podcasts while folding laundry and nursing right now~just finished up Andrew Pudewa. Love!
2 Weeks have FLOWN by!
He was never this little.
Was he?
Because he's already grown! Today, I'm packing away
the newborn diapers and the newborn onsies, and the newborn
receiving gowns!
Gaaaaaaaaack! Stop it. Just stop growing.
Stay little.
I just want to live in these moments longer...........

Divine Mercy The True Image
Oh, please venerate this image to day. It is the Vilnius image. The true image. The image which matches the Shroud of Turin.........Jesus said "this image."

True Image and True Mercy
Last year at this time, we visited a nearby parish for Divine Mercy Sunday devotions at 3pm. It's not always easy to find a service in this area, so we usually travel about an hour. It had been about 4 months since we lost Magdalene. I had been hearing from doctors for months that I was too old for more babies and that my body was telling me so.
So, what was a Catholic mom to do? Remain open to life that I could not bring forth? Endure more loss? Continue to watch my children grieve?
All of these questions for the priest I met that day..........
His answer?
Of course.
Remain open to life.
Never suppress life.
Trust in His Mercy.
And, I obeyed.
Another miscarriage followed 2 months later.
To be continued........
I love the Vilnius Divine Mercy Image.
It is identical to the image on the Shroud.

Happy Easter!
Wasn't Triduum beautiful? I love, love, love Holy Week. Anticipation, newness, long Masses that kids always seem to be able to make it through and their willingness to get up early Easter morning after Easter Vigil and do it all over again! What blessings!
Our Sunday was peaceful and such a nice day. We spent this holiday at home as a family and it was lovely. A long, lazy day of Easter baskets, "finding the Alleluia," delicious food, egg hunting in the woods, a long wiffle ball game, visiting Magdalene's grave, younger kids to bed and staying up late again to watch "The Way" with older kids hunkered down on the couch in front of the fire and DVD player. (rareness for this family who has not brought regular TV viewing into the home via flat screens and dish whatevers!) We are still talking about the movie........(It was interesting, but I'm not giving any personal sort of advice to watch it.)
Baby Update:
So, this little baby decided to climb up and lounge in a transverse position on April 3rd! At 39 weeks, we are wondering what next? I have been seeing my zone healing Chiropractor, but have also located one who specializes in the Wilson Method about an hour south of me and had my first adjustment Good Friday. It has an 85% success rate with turning babies.........we'll see!
(I'm not going to link to all of this stuff as it is easily googled if interested.) I take that back, I'll link to a zone doc who has a good website. (Too many non-traditional holistic healers base their practice on eastern medicine and are disturbing to me. Zone is very Christian friendly.)
I have also planted peas on my hands and knees, done more of pilates baby, and the entire house is clean in the effort to add extra movement to my day !
I've gotten all sorts of advice from the knees on couch-head on floor technique to "tell your husband to speak to the baby and ask the baby, as the authority of your household, to turn and get into the proper position." (A little too evangelicalistic for this husband!) He opted for bringing up the birthing ball to replace the office chair in front of the computer. (Smart, that man he is. I highly recommend this and wonder why I didn't think of it months ago!)
In the meantime, I have another Wilson apt today and plan to hide from my OB doc who has already mentioned the "C" word.
I had my last OB check last week and I've decided I'm done until this baby is born!
This has been a well-watched and over ultrasounded child and I am just done with it all.
There is a reason this baby went transverse.....so be it. At last check baby was just over 7 lbs-plenty of room to grow yet. I know my body well enough to know that early medical intervention is not going to make the situation better.
TRUST.
EASTER.
Alleluia!
